Our inspection services are accredited to EN45004 and we are a competent/notified body for the following:

• LOLER (Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations)
• PSSR (Pressure System Safety Regulations)
• PED (Pressure Equipment Directive)
• RCD (Recreational Craft Directive)

Although we do not compete with the major insurance companies, we have sufficient independence to offer clients an audit process where we can assess the effectiveness of their existing notified bodies and ensure that they are receiving maximum value and complying fully with the requirements of the legislation.

Compliance Audit Service

We also offer this compliance audit service to companies within countries who are looking to enter the European Union, this enables us to offer a unique service and help companies to understand the future legislative requirements. This consists of an assessment of the existing arrangements in place, resulting in a more effective implementation of the European Legislation.

From experience, we have found that large inspection companies often paint a very bad picture of company’s systems when they carryout a pre EU audit and they overlook the fact that many companies within Europe, not within the EU, operate effective systems often based on BSI codes, many of which were fore runners to European Legislation.

We also offer detailed training courses on the requirements of our notified status, LOLER/PSSR & PED. These courses can be tailored to meet with specific client requirements for example we are often called in to provide training after an event and hence the emphasis of the training is based on the event and what systems are now in place to mitigate such events in the future.

3rd Party Inspection Services

We offer a range of inspection services within the UK, Eire, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain and Scandinavia, where we will carry out inspection of products and services on behalf of clients who are located in areas which are remote to the manufacturers.

Our head of function in this area, was instrumental in the assembling of BS5750 and was also a group head for the Central Electricity Generating Boards PITB (Plant Inspection & Testing Branch). Our services in this area include assessment of build against specification and include assessment of NDT results such as radiography (including the techniques used), MPI, Ultrasonic and some cases Eddy Current Test results.

Our prices for these works are based on half or full day rates which make our services very competitive.
